Can't really work out the difference between all our plain running linen lines? Well don't worry you are not the only one!
We get asked all the time what is the difference and what is best for what? SO... below lists all the plain lines we run from lightest in weight to heaviest. So now you can compare on one page. I am hoping this will clear things up and help you decide what linen suits you best.
Weight: 109gsm (Gauze)
Yarn: Yarn dyed- sourced from Belgium/France and milled in China
Weave: Plain weave 21s yarn
Finish: Aero wash- this helps with pre-shrinking the fabric and also softening linen. It is where the fabric is pushed through tubes under high air pressure
Notes: This has a very open weave giving it that gauze look. Yarn has a slight high twist giving a subtle crinkle running down
Weight: 125gsm (light to medium weight)
Yarn: Piece dyed- sourced from Belgium/France and milled in China
Weave: Plain weave 17sx21s
Finish: Aero wash- gives a flatter look to the linen. This wash helps with pre-shrinking the fabric and also softening linen. It is where the fabric is pushed through tubes under high air pressure
Notes: This has a fine yarn that gives the fabric a beautiful sheen.17s x 21s long staple yarn. Lola is one of our longest running linens and it a basic staple linen, it has a more polished look compared to the washed linens.
Weight: 190gsm (heavy weight)
Yarn: Piece dyed- sourced from Belgium/France and milled in China
Weave: Right hand S twill weave
Finish: Aero wash- this helps with pre-shrinking the fabric and also softening linen. It is where the fabric is pushed through tubes under high air pressure
Notes: This linen has a beautiful natural sheen due to the high quality yarn used and the twill weave. It is a very polished looking linen. This is the same weave as Lucas but has a different wash applied giving it a completely different look.
Weight: 200gsm (heavy weight)
Yarn: Piece dyed- sourced from Belgium/France and milled in China
Weave: Plain weave, 9x9 (thicker yarn)
Finish: Aero wash- gives a flatter look to the linen. This wash helps with pre-shrinking the fabric and also softening linen. It is where the fabric is pushed through tubes under high air pressure
Notes: This is woven with a thicker yarn which means the texture of the yarn is more prominent. The aero wash gives it a flat soft look.
