Itinerary Outline
14th March to 21st March 2027
SUNDAY - Arrive in Osaka and meet your fellow travellers before enjoying a welcome dinner to kick off the journey.
MONDAY - Visit Sunwell Japan for an exclusive industry experience before spending the afternoon exploring some of Osaka's renowned fabric stores.
TUESDAY - Take part in a hands-on sashiko workshop followed by a unique sock-making workshop. In the evening, enjoy dinner together in beautiful Nara.
WEDNESDAY - Travel to Japan's renowned textile region of Fukui for an exclusive ribbon factory tour.
THURSDAY - Visit a traditional silk factory before exploring a fascinating textile museum and learning about Japan's rich textile history.
FRIDAY - Travel to Kyoto for a traditional tea ceremony dressed in kimono, followed by a hands-on shibori dyeing workshop.
SATURDAY - Enjoy a final day discovering Kyoto's famous fabric stores before relaxing with a traditional onsen experience. Celebrate the end of the tour together over a farewell dinner.
SUNDAY - Tour concludes following breakfast.

What's not included?
Lunches
Lunches are not included, giving you the flexibility to choose what you'd like to eat each day. We'll often suggest places where the group can dine together, but you're equally welcome to explore on your own and meet back with the group afterwards.
Flights & Airport Transfers
International flights and airport transfers are not included, allowing you the freedom to choose your preferred airline, use frequent flyer points and customise your travel plans before or after the tour.
Personal Shopping
Any personal shopping, fabric purchases and other incidental expenses are at your own cost.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is required for all guests and is not included in the tour price.
Who organises the flights?
You do! We will start in Osaka and finish in Kyoto.
We believe the best way to travel is with flexibility, so you'll arrange your own flights to and from Japan. This gives you the freedom to arrive early, extend your stay afterwards or even turn the trip into a longer holiday with family or friends.
Booking your own flights also means you can choose your preferred airline, make the most of frequent flyer points and select the flight times that suit you best.
We'll simply let you know where and when to meet us in Osaka to begin the tour.
How much will the tour cost?
To receive full pricing details, simply submit an Expression of Interest form and we'll send you everything you need to know about the tour, including inclusions, payment schedule and next steps.
Once your place has been confirmed, a 10% non-refundable deposit will be required in August 2026 to secure your spot. With only 15 places available, we recommend registering your interest early to avoid missing out.
I want to make some adjustments to what I do over there.
The tour has been carefully planned to provide the best possible experience for the group, and the tour price includes all of the activities and experiences outlined in the itinerary. As such, we're unable to make individual changes to the scheduled tour or adjust the inclusions.
If you'd like to arrive in Japan earlier, stay on after the tour, or extend your travels, you're more than welcome to do so. We can also provide the details of our trusted travel agency, who can assist with flights, additional accommodation and extended travel arrangements.
