Japanese worsted, yarn-dyed gingham.

Composition: 100% Worsted Cotton

Colour: Tide features a soft oaty, beige base with warm natural undertones, gently crossed with subtle white threads to add texture and depth to the weave. Four coloured stripes run both vertically and horizontally to create the check, featuring a clean black, mid-grey, deep red and rich royal blue. Each stripe measures approximately 6mm wide and is spaced 6mm apart. The light neutral base softens the boldness of the coloured stripes, creating a balanced check with a timeless, heritage-inspired feel. The slightly open weave enhances the organic appearance, giving the fabric a relaxed, understated character.

Quality: It is a lightweight weave with the cosy look and feel of wool, while remaining soft, breathable and comfortable to wear. It has a gently fluffed finish without adding bulk, making it an ideal fabric for those in-between seasons.

The fabric is woven from worsted cotton yarn, where the cotton fibres are combed before spinning to create a smoother, stronger yarn while still retaining a beautifully natural texture. The slightly open weave gives the fabric a soft gauzy appearance and a subtle transparency, although it isn't overly sheer and many garments won't require a lining.

Care instructions: Hand wash in warm water. Do not soak, bleach or wring. Drip dry or dry without delay away from direct heat. Warm iron. Dry cleanable.
