Colour: Madras in the Vibrant colourway is built around a rich, dark pink-red that leans towards hot pink, crossed with a warm mix of sunny yellow, soft white, chocolate brown, navy blue and bright terracotta orange. The combination of bold, contrasting colours creates a warm, richly pigmented plaid with plenty of depth and energy.

Quality: The fabric is a lightweight, plain-weave quality with an open, airy feel without being overly sheer. The 15% linen gives it a slightly textured, natural handle, which will soften with wear and washing over time. The Madras plaid repeats on a 9 × 9cm scale, with stripes ranging from fine 2mm lines to wider 16mm bands. This mix of stripe widths gives the pattern its distinctive rhythm and balance, making it a great choice for shirts, dresses, skirts and relaxed summer separates.

Care instructions: Gentle machine wash. Drip dry or tumble dry. Hot iron. Dry cleanable.

Milled Origin: Japan. All our Japanese cottons meet the Oeko-Tex standard, we only use mills which are certified and checked yearly.
