Japanese craft washed cotton with a leno dobby weave.

Colour: Olivewood Mini Check is a beautifully detailed check woven in a soft, earthy palette of light khaki and sage green, balanced with a deep steely navy blue. The base layer of the check is formed by intersecting khaki green and navy blue stripes, each approximately 7mm wide and repeating every 7mm to create a small, balanced check pattern. Running through the centre of each check is a finer 1mm stripe detail, alternating between a soft sage green and a slightly lighter navy tone.

Quality: The thin navy lines are woven using an open leno weave technique, creating raised, textured lines that sit above the surface of the fabric. This gives the cloth a delicate, almost embroidered appearance, adding beautiful dimension and a handcrafted quality to the otherwise understated check. Despite its lightweight feel, the fabric is opaque enough that lining is not required for most garments. It has a firmer handle with good structure rather than a fluid drape, making it ideal for garments that benefit from a little body.

Care instructions: Hand wash in warm water. Do not soak, bleach or wring. Drip dry or dry without delay away from direct heat. Warm iron. Dry cleanable.
