Colour: Picnic Tartan in the Coffee colourway features a classic tartan plaid over a warm coffee-brown base, crossed with deep navy blue, red-orange and white stripes. Four fine white stripes sit closely together to form a wider band, with thin red-orange lines running through the centre of these wider bands and across the spaces between them. A smaller, doubled navy check sits beneath the main pattern, adding another layer of detail and depth. The check repeats every 6.5cm, creating a traditional tartan with plenty of character.

Quality: Woven in a twill, Picnic Tartan has a soft, textured handle, thanks to both the weave and the naturally soft cotton fibres. Its weight gives it a slightly brushed, wool-like feel, making it a lovely option for winter garments without the characteristic itchiness of wool. It would work particularly well for lined coats, warm trousers and other trans-seasonal pieces that call for a little extra substance and comfort.

Care instructions: Gentle machine wash. Drip dry or tumble dry. Hot iron. Dry cleanable.
