Japanese worsted, yarn-dyed gingham.

Composition: 100% Worsted Wool

Width: 135 - 137cm

Weight: 115gsm

Colour: Henry in Russet is a warm, earthy check woven on a soft beige base with camel and fawn undertones. Four coloured stripes run both vertically and horizontally to create the check. They are a warm purple-based brown, rich orangey red, earthy olive green and warm golden yellow. Each stripe measures approximately 6mm wide and is spaced 6mm apart. The coloured stripes are crossed in the weave by the warm beige base, giving the check a beautifully organic, understated appearance rather than a bold or graphic look. The slightly open weave adds even more character, allowing the colours to blend together with a relaxed, natural feel.

Quality: This is a lightweight wool weave with a soft, cosy feel while remaining naturally breathable and comfortable to wear. It has a gently brushed finish that enhances its warmth and softness without adding unnecessary bulk, making it an ideal fabric for those in-between seasons.

The fabric is woven from fine worsted wool yarn, where the wool fibres are carefully combed before spinning to create a smoother, stronger yarn with a refined yet beautifully natural texture. The slightly open weave gives the fabric a soft, airy appearance and a subtle transparency, although it isn't overly sheer and many garments won't require a lining.
