Colour: Lax in the Ecru colourway pairs a warm, creamy off-white with contrasting black stripes to create a bold, graphic check. The larger plaid is formed by bands of smaller checks, giving the pattern an interesting layered effect while keeping to a classic monochrome palette. The warm cream softens the starkness of the black, creating a look that feels timeless rather than overly sharp.

The larger check repeats in 14mm-wide bands, made up of fine 1mm stripes that form the smaller checks within the pattern. This combination of fine lines and larger blocks creates a distinctive, structured plaid with plenty of visual detail.

Quality: Woven from Japanese Supima cotton using fine, smooth yarns in a 60 × 120 construction, Lax has an exceptionally smooth surface with a crisp, almost crunchy handle. It holds its shape beautifully, giving garments a clean, structured finish without feeling rough. Completely opaque, it's an excellent choice for classic shirts, button-ups and other structured separates where you want a little more body and definition from your cotton.

Care instructions: Gentle machine wash. Drip dry or tumble dry. Hot iron. Dry cleanable.
