Colour: Sombre in the Navy colourway features a rich navy-blue base crossed with a dark grey-brown band and a variety of finer off-white stripes. The wider grey-brown stripes measure approximately 2cm, while the off-white lines range from 1mm to 5mm in width. These finer stripes cross at carefully spaced intervals to create a balanced, symmetrical pattern, while also framing the wider grey-brown bands. The plaid repeats every 12cm, giving the design a considered scale that balances the deeper blocks of colour with the finer detailing. The combination of deep navy, earthy grey-brown and soft off-white gives the check a refined, understated feel, with plenty of detail to appreciate up close.

Quality: Woven from cotton, Sombre has a smooth, soft handle with a subtle stiffness that gives the fabric a little structure without feeling rigid. Its fine weave creates a neat, even surface, and the fabric is completely opaque. Lightweight and easy to wear, it is a great choice for summer shirts, dresses, skirts and shorts, as well as transeasonal layering pieces that bring a little colour to your wardrobe.
